Jasper is through surgery, doing just fine.

Dr. Darren Steele called David at 12:30pm to report that Jasper's surgery went well, he was in post op recovery and was sitting up on his own. 

There are no stitches, no antibiotics will be prescribed,  only a short term pain management medication.  Jasper would be ready for pickup anytime after 4:00pm today.

Darren said Jasper would probably sleep the remainder of the evening, he could be offered food and water, but may not eat until morning.   There may be minor swelling and discomfort (ya think?).  Dr. Darren suggested we monitor his activity (only brief leash walks), limited jumping, and correct Jasper if he "spends a lot of time licking back there".

"After a few days, Jasper will be back to his old self"
